How are you staying connected with friends and loved ones during self isolation?
We’re human. We’re social.
It’s not easy staying isolated from your favorite people, but it’s important to follow social distancing during this unprecedented time. Luckily, we have tools and technology to connect without having to be in the same room.
What are our favorite ways to connect while socially isolating?
This week, we have our friend Jenn Schaefer back with us to share some ways on how to connect with others from the comfort of your home. So, what are some good ways to connect?
1. Social Media
We’re all spending more time on social media while staying in. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.. you name it. And, if you’re really going stir-crazy, you’ve dabbled in TikTok (guilty). Either way, social media is a great way to keep up with all your friends and family.
2. Zoom!
Yes, we use zoom for conference calls and as a way of communication while working. But, have you tried Zoom parties? Try having a friends/family dinner using zoom. It’s super easy and fun. You can also get creative on Zoom. There’s Zoom yoga classes (just ask Jenn, she hosts them here).
3. Good, old-fashioned phone call
It’s a good time to check in with someone who might be struggling. Pick up the phone and give them a call! If you’re able, see if they need any help with groceries or ask if they could use a friend to talk to during this difficult time. Reaching out is a good way to let people know you’re there for them.
